These offerings are a little like eating shelled peanuts in that once you get through those shells of irregular rhymes and lines that don’t always or necessarily scan these are still what I think are effective internal rhymes of images that each taken together convey an overall and essential rhythm yielding an editable nut or two of elemental truth. My only hope is that the reader of these may feel as I do that there is a basic and transformative rightness about these poems.
