Toronto Maple Leafs: 1954-1955 1955-1956 (English Edition) [Kindle-editie]

The 1950s were not a successful decade for the Toronto Maples Leafs hockey team if one omits their 1951 Stanley Cup Championship. 1951 was the only season that every game of the finals' series went into overtime before being decided. The Leafs defeated the Montreal Canadiens. Though leaner times were on the horizon Toronto added such future stars as Tim Horton who became a regular by 1952. I have selected to write about the 1954-1955 and 1955-1956 seasons. In both years the Maple Leafs were easily eliminated by Detroit in the semifinals of the Stanley Cup playoffs. My e-book was researched and written primarily from newspaper clippings that delineate eyewitness reports from games. I believe that readers will enjoy reflecting on a golden era of the National Hockey League, a time when neither goalies, forwards, or defencemen wore masks or helmets for protection. I have used a combination of written text, stats, and photos to create an e-book that is both entertaining and filled with history of a game that is beloved by millions of fans.
