Khalid Persica gives instructions on making the Philosopher's Stone, including information omitted by other alchemists. It is not all-inclusive, however: Persica espects the student to fill in the gaps from the teachings of other Philosophers. Many potential pitfalls are detailed. The examples in the text clarify a number of important alchemical principles, and are very easy to understand. Once the Stone is achieved, Persica goes on to describe how to create with it a Great Medicine. Secreta Alchemiæ (The Secrets of Alchemy) was written in Hebrew in about the 8th century A.D. This work was studied by the great alchemists including Paracelsus, Basil Valentine, and many others. It was translated into Persian and then into Latin. Finally, William Salmon (1644–1713) translated the work into English. The work was added to the R.A.M.S. (Restorers of Alchemical Manuscripts) library by Hans W. Nintzel in the early 1980's.
