About 2-1/2 nautical miles beyond there is where the Great Gull Bank is located. The depths there are from 55 to 65-feet deep. Depending on the time of year, sport fishing boats rush to these shelves because the depths, as well as the resultant change in water temperature, are favorable to catching the species they are fishing for.
