Spiritual Gifts (English Edition) [Kindle-editie]

‘Spiritual Gifts’ is the seventh title in the series which Jozef Rulof received mediumistically. It was written by master Zelanus, whom we got to know as Lantos in the third title ‘The Cycle of the Soul’. Master Zelanus is the highest astral pupil of master Alcar, Jozef’s spiritual guide. Zelanus studied life on earth and in the hereafter for nine centuries, and ‘Spiritual Gifts’ contains his deep analysis of parapsychological phenomena and powers. In this book master Zelanus gives a detailed analysis of all the grades of mediumship. All the gifts which Jozef Rulof possessed are explained in detail in just as many chapters: writing mediumship, speaking under inspiration, the psychic trance, mediumistic painting and drawing, spiritual clairvoyance and the healing medium. In addition, the following supernatural phenomena, among others, are treated: communication with the cross and board and the planchette, spiritual photography, direct voice, materialisations and dematerialisations, levitation, apports, rappings and ghost phenomena. In addition, the grades of human sleep are analysed in great detail and in a clear way. Our sleep appears to be the gate to all the grades of mediumship. The role of the physical body in achieving parapsychological phenomena is also treated in detail. The term ‘gifts’ has a significant meaning. Master Zelanus makes it clear to us that the masters of the light keep all astral wisdom and powers in their own hands, and ‘give’ their message to the medium who is open to this. The writer indicates that the astral world takes the initiative for this, and not the medium. If the human being on earth has just one thought or wish to receive spiritual wisdom that already disturbs the mediumship, because the human being is then thinking himself and can therefore not be a pure channel for the divine wisdom which the masters want to pass on. Master Zelanus reports in the book about dozens of people whom he followed astrally, and they thought that they received astral messages. Most people were busy themselves, without realising it. They asked questions, and their own unfathomable subconscious gave them the answers. Master Zelanus assigns this high-handed wanting to possess the occult powers to the ‘Oriental’ mentality. In the book he follows the fakir from the East, the white and the black magician, and the Oriental initiated. All of them want to use the occult powers for their own interest, as a result of which they close themselves off to divine wisdom. They cannot therefore exceed their own thinking and feeling, so that they cannot equal the level of a high-minded Western medium, however wonderful and ‘artful’ they are in their own area. However, the East comes to the West, and in the Western countries many people also assume the occult powers and set themselves up as healers and channels for higher energies. In ‘Spiritual Gifts’ master Zelanus gives the ultimate key to be able to make the distinction as a reader between a true and a high-principled mediumship, and the messing about of the many charlatans. However, deception in this area is so dreadfully great that the sober being rightly no longer wishes to know anything more about all that spiritual carry-on. ‘Spiritual Gifts’ separates the light from the darkness in this. In order to understand this penetrating book properly it is advisable to first read ‘A View into the Hereafter’ and ‘The Origin of the Universe’.
