Sally Ann marries a wild cowboy and moves to his ranch. She doesn't know him very well, but works hard to make her marriage work. Clint, her husband, doesn't take their marriage seriously though and refuses to give up chasing after saloon girls.When he comes home after being with the saloon girls, she gets angry and shoots him. When he recovers she makes him stay in the barn. Meanwhile she meets an Indian man who wants her for his wife. When Sally Ann finds out that he already has two wives, she backs out. She has gotten pregnant by him though.Clint brings home a baby by a saloon girl which Sally Ann takes in to raise. When Sally Ann's baby is born, it turns out to be half Indian. The Indians steal the baby from Clint and Sally Ann; then Clint steals the baby back from the Indians. Soon war erupts between the whites and the Indians; the whites form a posse to attack the Indian village. The Army also shows up and the tide turns against the Indians. Sally Ann and her husband reconcile their differences and go on with their lives.This novel has a lot of action and doesn’t have any profanity or explicit sex scenes.
