Eighteen year old Matthew McKey was born with facial deformities due to a medical condition known as prognathism. It results in Matthew being born with an enlarged jaw and nose. Essentially a lonely, social outcast, he is bullied by the school thug, Lester Boyd, and wishes he could just be like the other kids at school. He also dreams of falling in love with a beautiful girl in his class who befriends him, Loren, but doesn’t believe this will ever really happen. Mathew’s life then changes dramatically after a chance meeting with a gifted plastic surgeon.
