In every African community, calamities and celebrations bring people together. Ikwa village in central Kenya was no exception. Ikwa villagers gathered together to try and rescue one of their own Karongo the thief. They were ready to give him a chance to change his ways. In the process, the villagers discover that some things though known in public remain secrets in public. An African woman’s love and strength whether as a mother or a secret lover is tested and displayed by Timna and Wangechi. The resilience of the African man is exhibited by Muchemi and Chege. Chege, a male chauvinist is managed by Timna without usurping his position. Ciku reminds us that generosity is not from material wealth but from the heart. Nothing escapes Banoni eyes and ears; he is the village secrets keeper.
