Roberto Salomón was a Cuban physician who lived in Spain and was a resident specializing in psychiatry at the Menninger Foundation when it was still located in Topeka, Kansas. During the last year of his three-year specialty training he discovered that a malignant cancer was ending his life. His classmates attended his medical needs night and day for six months. The narrative of this memoir tells about the events that occurred on the last day of Roberto’s life, the day of his graduation.
