Dear Diary is a picture book kept by a Spirit. The pictures show places visited by The Spirit. It is meant to be a sense provoking work in that it presents as fact and exposure information that is not really all that significant, much like religion. The photos of real places introduced and expounded upon by a Spirit is at best contradictory to what most people would expect. It is not a startlingly revelational book since The Spirit is really a Spirit. The author tries to convey to real people the interpretation of time and place by a Spirit. The Spirit is not afraid of being a Spirit. The Spirit is not afraid of non spirits. The physical sense of reality is conveyed by the photographs of actual places. The spirit sense of acceptance is convincingly conveyed by an actual Spirit. While some may feel a bit sad due to the deep pathos occasionally conveyed by The Spirit, the final message might be a bit like a fable, waiting for an Aesop to write the moral of it all.
