The Spring 2013 issue of PIPS research journal ‘Conflict and Peace Studies’ has been published. This is the first biannual issue of C&PS, which has been published as a quarterly publication since 2008. Most of the papers in the current issue focus on insecurity and violence in Pakistan and South Asia including Afghanistan. A survey-based study explores viewpoints of Pakistan’s political and religious parties on Pak-Iran relations. The journal also includes a backgrounder on militant groups in Pakistan and a review on Anatol Lieven’s book ‘Pakistan: A Hard Country’.
