This 12 page ebook recounts the history of the Butlers Lords Carrick of Mount Juliet, Co. Kilkenny. The Mount Juliet Butlers were closely related to the Butlers of Ormonde and in fact their direct ancestor was one of two sons of Edmund Butler the 6th Lord Ormonde (1280-1320). His descendants lived mainly in Tipperary and became Viscounts Ikerrin. In the mid 1700s Somerset Butler moved to Ballylinch and named his new estate Mount Juliet in honour of his wife Juliana Boyle.
