Introduction I would like to present a series of fictional stories, and trust in you to observe and with the ability to form your own conclusions; the stories are simple in structure, yet, complete in nature to the questions posed. The first story “You’re in Our House Now,” considers the question of what is valid jubilations and what is political retaliation, reverse discrimination institutionalized since 2009; in essence, as a free person, do you feel better off than you did four years ago or from 2004? “Non-Blue / Non-Red Chicago” ask the question what Chicago can aspire to in 8 years and what would a Chicagoan traveling forward in time feel and experience in a non-red / non-blue Chicago. “Passive Aggressive,” a story about a transgendered person who has some center right / republican views and her ordeals living in a “Boss” oriented Blue city of the “You’re in Our Home Crowd;,” written in the spirit of “Waiting for Mr. Roosevelt” by Langston Hughes of the Harlem Renaissance.
