It was 1971, rebellion, sex, drugs, rock n' roll defined the times. Greg Tomlinson was in love (or was it simply a teenage crush?) with Cindy Lou Walker, the sweet, from-the-country waitress that made his heart soar whenever she was near. Cindy was married to a small-town sheriff, ominous in his own right, who tolerated her numerous sexual liaisons including her affair with the shady boss of the Zuider Zee, the Midwestern seafood restaurant where she and Greg worked. Greg knew he was in over his head with her, but rational thought couldn't compete with hormones and teenage desire. How could Greg ever vie for her affections against the sophisticated, evil force of Pat Benassini? Greg was experiencing this young love in his comedic, chaotic, last summer before college, would his innocence be forever derailed with the mysterious death of his best friend? As he fell deeper into the adult world of swinging and vice, Greg would soon fear for his own life and future.
