The ninth in this series sees DCI Victor Moyes and his second in command DS Victoria Morgan take on the case of trying to solve the mystery surrounding a body retrieved from the River Ford the river that runs through the fictional town of Abberford. These stories are set in the sixties before DNA and computers and means that there is a lot of paperwork and footwork that needs to be covered in order to complete their investigations. Little did they know at the start of their investigations that things would take an unexpected turn the final result of which would alter their professional lives to such an extent in the months to come. They do however manage to retain their private arrangements covering their love of dancing with the occasional night of passion of passion thrown in.
