I find it very strange that you have chosen to read this Book...Have you always been interested in vampires? I only ask, because people who usually come across one at some point in their lives, but never realize it! It’s a fact! Toby Titlebaum wasn't particularly interested in vampires; but look at what probably happened to him?........... It began on a cold, dark, November morning. The sort of cold, dark, November morning when you might be expecting such things to happen, but then you tell yourself not to be so stupid. Toby and his new friend Gustave Goulash a, highly strung, Hungarian lad, were waiting in the playground of Rectory Road School; with the other students of 2C. That particular morning also happened to be a school project morning. What’s more; Miss Brenda Bilge, the art teacher, liked to make fun of any forgetful or tardy kids because it was good for her self esteem, which she needed because she drank allot… She came zooming around the side of the school building on her very wobbly old bicycle. “Get in line everyone, were off!” she barked, her massive frame moving from side to side as she pedaled… She sailed straight through the middle of the students causing; them to leap in all directions as she headed for the gates… Forming a very uneven line they hurried to keep up with her as she left the school grounds. The trip itself was only a short one but Miss Bilge considered it worthwhile. “Victorian and Edwardian gravestones have a real style of their own,” She remarked, cycling so fast that her learners had to trot, to stay with her! “You see death was a way of life for them. They made the most of it; the philosophy was; if you’re going to peg it young have a whopping great monument to yourself shoved up, so no one forgets you.” “They dropped dead allot quicker then didn't they Miss?” Connor Crabtree ventured as he tripped on an uneven paving stone; - “I mean you only had to sneeze and they were lowering you six feet under!”
