This book is the FIRST comprehensive history of the Christian Methodist Episcopal (CME) Church. It is written on the doctrine and practice of doing good. John Wesley’s teaching that the Methodist Christian does good everywhere and to all and since the inception of the Christian Methodist Episcopal (CME) Church in 1870, it has been both stated and believed that the denomination is faithful to the doctrines and practices common to all Methodist bodies in general, and to those held by John Wesley in particular. However, the practice of this is dependent upon the faithfulness of the transmission of those original doctrines and practices. This book is a linear, critical examination of the faithfulness of that transmission beginning with John Wesley and continuing through the CME Church.
