FROM THE AUTHOR: "I have a lot of affection for this little work, but it's very difficult to try to explain exactly what it is. It might be helpful to explain the procedure by which I wrote it. For 20+ years, I had been filling notebook after notebook (67 so far) with ideas that popped into my head. The first 39 volumes of these notebooks I typed into hardcopy. The remaining 28 I did not. One of the things I always wanted to do was to organize these other ideas into some kind of logical order, as opposed to the chronological order they are currently in. This book is one such attempt. Basically, I went through the remaining 28 notebooks, and wrote down the most interesting and/or significant ideas I could find. Once I located the ideas, I then tried to arrange them in some sort of a semantic flow, where one idea would lead right into the other. In this way, I could show the ideas’ essential unity, a unity not readily apparent when they are arranged in chronological and seemingly illogical form. Each idea has a heading, and therefore the writings of the book consists of a heading followed by the idea itself." Our small rebellions co-opt our large rebellions. THE SLAVE UNION The Slaves formed a Union, and won many victories: 1) No whipping until a committee held a hearing. 2) 10 hour days, with one week vacation. 3) After 25 years of service, a gold watch. 4) A chance to “move up”: to be the house slave. 5) Padding for the ankle chains. 6) A profit-sharing plan. ENEMIES OF PROGRESS Cars, European vacations, and mortgage payments destroy more radicals than machine guns. SECURING THEIR PROPERTY RIGHTS As the Titanic sinks into the murky depths, some will be guarding their jewels from the looters. RULE OF THE GAME Most revolutions are quiet -- we only hear about the noisy ones. VIRUS Somewhere in your brain is the virus that says, “Be critical of X, don’t be critical of Y.” That’s what you have to be critical of. ********* End Excerpt ********* So here it is. By the way, if you do download the book, know that this book is meant to be read from start to finish in one sitting, to make its greatest impact.
