A year ago, Sadie Bradley never envisioned herself standing in line for a free meal at a homeless shelter. Yet here she is, immersing herself into the homeless world, even playing her guitar on the sidewalk for spare change. Sadie soon finds herself entangled in a “web of lies” trying to protect her true identity, while working as an undercover reporter. Could a killer be hiding among the homeless? Her heart skips a beat when she meets a handsome man at the shelter. What is his story? Why is he here? Is he the killer? Driven to succeed, she speculates that perhaps this job is her big chance. Maybe a Pulitzer Prize in her future? After all, in the cutthroat business of a crime reporter you have to think big. Right?
