He learned the process of the calotype when he was back in Paris.§ Fenton was a founding member of the Photographic Club of London in 1847.§ In 1855, Fenton was commissioned by Thomas Agnew to document the Crimean War.§ In 1862, Fenton quit photographing for unknown reasons and sold all his negatives and equipment at auction.NOTABLE WORKS:The Crimean War, The Valley of the Shadow of Death and The Royal Family.
