In 1951, Gestapo agent Robert Mohr penned a short document regarding his handling of Sophie Scholl's interrogation and subsequent trial. This memorandum clearly had the sole intent of rehabilitating his war-time work and reputation. Mohr's claims fail to meet any conceivable test for historical accuracy. Nevertheless, his words provide a firsthand look at historical revisionism in process. It would be worthless if used as an accurate historical document. It is worth its weight in gold when viewed and understood as whitewash.
