Memoirs Illustrating the History of Jacobinism (English Edition) [Kindle-editie]

This book’s is pseudo titled as the “Code of the Illuminati”. The editor does not wish to be an apologist for the ideas and philoso-phy of the Illuminati only to show you the history and inner structure of the movement. The Bavarian Illuminati was founded in 1776, shortly before the American Revolution, were a secret society with a revolutionary ideology, and a centralized structure. According to Abbé Bar-reul, they subverted the Masonic lodges of Europe, and were one of the key driving forces behind the French Revolution. New members were gradually initiated into the group's radical ideas, which, according to Barreul, were atheist and anarchist in es-sence.Philosophically the Illuminati rejected Christianity and monothe-istic god and quickly progressed to the idea of liberty and equality – ideas too dangerous and revolutionary in Europe. In more rare cases, the Illuminati might refer to Gnostic elite who do not cooperate completely with the Bavarian Illuminati's agenda of world domination, but like those who do, they focus upon the belief that they are uniquely empowered by their pseudo-Buddhist-like enlightenment, similar to the intelligentsia classes of today are empowered by their education and intelli-gence. These are people who consider themselves to have become illu-minated and have achieved a far greater mystical understanding of the universe than the vast majority of the ignorant masses of the world. Many secret societies and mystical traditions are con-cerned with the attainment of this kind of illumination or enlightenment via occult practices, and with keeping its secrets to themselves and their initiates, such as the Rosicrucian Socie-ties and Martinist Societies. When considering the idea of one world government, one would naturally ask why is the idea so frightening and alien to us when today’s’ science fiction all portray mankind living in unity not partitioned by borders and races or creeds? It must be the pro-vincialism and backwardness of people who find these concepts unnatural yet regularly watch the science fiction shows televised. The author was very conservative, as his translator, Robert Ed-ward Clifford. However, Barreul was a respected historian, even though he wrote from a decidedly bias point of view. He was able to view the primary source documents and interview participants. As such this book is today, in and of itself, a primary source of the Illuminati. Today, civil society in Europe and America has in concepts at least, subscribed to the ideas of 'Liberty and Equality' that the author thought would lead to the complete breakdown of civili-zation. The Bavarian Illuminati are considered by some to be the philosophical forerunners of the Communist, Fascist ideologies. It is ironical that Barruel who was also a Jesuit , whose order is also tainted by the same criticism that the Illuminati, would pen a book that itself, many ways, reminds us to the fanatical, edu-cated, obbedient and centralized Jesuit order.
