Duality-the state or quality of being two or in two parts; dichotomy. This book is for those like me who have had some tough times. It is filled with daily thoughts and introspection that got me through the situations in my life. Much of this introspection pertained to everyday life for all of us. During my own hardships, I wanted to feel good about LIFE. I wanted to see what I was missing, and I wanted to be able to laugh at whatever I found. These words helped me. Maybe they will help someone else.Since this is a book of dualities, there are two halves entitled "SOFT" and "HARD" The former shows much of my philosophical side, and sheds light on daily living as well as certain things I see as troubling in regards to society. The latter shows my "realist" side. It also is my attempt to make sense of things. Politically in-correct and pulling no punches, the entries show more of my comedic side, because I believe humor is the great balance between happiness and misery.Ironically, the hard pondering is what brought me to the understanding words of the soft. You see, it took me years to understand that you cannot “fight fire with fire”, water is what's needed in that situation. If you're someone who reacts, then it's best to learn to think beforehand. Therefore, with this book, you get "soft" before "hard".Ultimately, the true purpose of this tiny book is to affect a change. I would like the reader to see that perhaps we are not so different from one another other....That “The Secret” to existence is all around us, all you need to do is free your mind. Because a change in thinking will undoubtedly change your view…Of everything.Gio.
