Little Red is sent to her Grandmother's house to deliver a basket, but must make her way through the woods to get there. Despite her mother's warnings to stay on the path and not speak to strangers, she meets a friendly and charming young man she has never seen in her village before. Together they walk towards her Grandmother's cabin, until they come to a fork in the path that forces them in separate directions...or at least it seems to until they meet again in the not so distant future. A startlingly unique version of the old classic, Little Red is a curiously dark story that takes us from adolescence to adulthood with its rich symbolism and gorgeous illustrations. "My, what big eyes you have," is nowhere to be found in this rendition of the Little Red Riding Hood story.
