The first part of this book is devoted to the Chronicles of Nick, describing the adventures of this man between the ages of twenty-two and forty-five as he makes his way through the thicket of selecting a mate. One group of readers might conclude that on the road to marriage he displays his lack of integrity, honor, sensitivity, thoughtfulness, maturity, eloquence and substance.Another group of readers, however, could determine that Nick is armed with an extra dollop of sensitivity that makes him aware of his strengths and weaknesses. He is successful in business but his first marriage has fallen apart. During a trip through Europe, fate has him meet up with Will Arnold, who has sinned against society but nonetheless manages to straighten out his life and act as a powerful influence in Larry’s affairs. The beautiful Suzanne plays her part in the lives of Will and Larry.There are over 100,000 words. The idea is to make time fly as the reader goes for one coast to the other and back. The stories are meant to be entertaining. While there are occasionally insights into the human condition, the author does not allow seriousness to get out of hand.
