There’s been a murder. It was the type they liked to assign to Kip. Not only was he a good detective, but he was a self proclaimed optimist too. Those that worked with Kip liked to tease him about it. On the other hand he was also a realist. As he says, positive thinking won’t put food on the table, but optimism and a little work will. After all, only an optimist will plant in the spring and expect food come harvest time. Still someone has to plow and plant. He does have his problem with women though. He simply has no long term relationships. Two, maybe three dates and the woman finds a reason to leave him. It’s not something he likes, but he has learned to face it. He is enough of a realist to know that after the third date, if it goes that far, the woman is going to find a reason to leave. He’s been a detective for about three and half years and his third partner has only been with him a few months. He finds this investigation first confusing then frustrating the longer it goes. People are turning up dead all over and he doesn’t seem to be able to get a handle on it. Maybe you’d like to be with him and share in his frustration. Then again, maybe not. It is almost too much for Kip. It just might be too much for you. At the end of this book are the first two chapters of "Kip - The Realist." I say this to keep from deceiving you as to the size of this story. Approximately 17% is sample
