Jack and Jill went up the hill, to fetch a pail of water... As far back as anyone can remember the hill has been off limits. The dangers that lurk atop that hill are too much for any villager to confront. But tales of a well with healing waters are enough to convince Jill to risk a trip up the hill when her father becomes sick. If she does not risk her life to find the water, her father very well may lose his. Jack and Jill is a short story of approximately 5500 words.
