My wife tried to convince me that acupuncture is an amazing treatment for various ailments like my wrist pain. I refused to try it because I don’t like the idea of having needles poke me. She then attempted to convince me to try acupressure. Acupressure is a traditional Chinese Medicine technique. By pressing certain acupressure points on your body, you can trigger your body’s self-healing mechanism. I was reluctant to try it, but I gave in. I was skeptical the first time I tried it. But my skepticism turned into amazement because my wrist pain was almost gone within two minutes of pressing the trigger points. Even then, I wanted to see more proof. The second instance of proof happened in the middle of the night. My daughter woke us up with a nose bleed that wouldn’t stop. The bleeding went on for about ten minutes. Blood clot came out of her nose. Desperate and not knowing what else to do, I taught her how to use acupressure to press two trigger points. Her nose bleed stopped within a few minutes. The third instance of proof happened when I had a bad cold. Since childhood, I’ve had a weak immune system. I had always needed antibiotics to recover from ailments, such as common cold. As an adult, my doctor used to tell me to stay home for 5 days to let my immune system learn how to fight the disease. After 5 days, I usually end up back in the doctor’s office begging for antibiotics. Then, one day, I decided to try acupressure to boost my immune system, and to relieve my cold symptoms. It took me 7 days to recover fully. Since then, I hardly need to get a prescription for antibiotics for the common cold. I can usually recover within 3 -4 days and sometimes, as quickly as 2 days. In fact, I hardly have colds these days. I started as a skeptic of acupressure. I am now a believer of the system. Try this 6 step system that is easy to learn, and can be done by yourself any time your back pain flares up.
