How to Annoy a Taxi Driver (English Edition) [Kindle-editie]

Tales from a night-time taxi driver. I’ve had some quite varied jobs in my life. From being a bouncy castle operator and bingo caller during the summer holidays in my teens, to being a travel agent, a database analyst and penultimately an IT manager in my thirties, I’ve had quite a varied career. My career in computers took a dip after the events of September 11, and crashed in flames after being paid to send junk emails for a thinly disguised pyramid marketing company run by members of a religious cult. Not letting this experience get me down, I started to drive a taxi, so I could still afford to eat Alpen whenever I felt like it, and not have to resort to smoking torn up teabags because I couldn’t afford to smoke (I’ve since quit smoking - hurrah!) Since starting this career as a temporary measure, eight years ago at the time of writing - I have met the most amazing cross-section of society, and come to the conclusion that people are the most interesting thing about the world we live in today. I’ve met an awful lot of them, and still am. This modest - in both price and length - ebook contains a collection of some of the funnier, more irritating, and strange experiences I’ve had during this time - and I’d like to share them with you. Despite the title, it is NOT an instruction manual (seriously, some people clearly thought it was and were annoyed that I seemed to be mocking them in my book.) In the past, this book has appeared at the number one position on Amazon’s comedy ebook chart, beating both Karl Pilkington, and Frankie Boyle’s books. Reviews 'This book is hilarious and a must read for everyone!' 'This is my first book bought on Kindle, so wasn't sure how it would read, the answer.. hilariously! Great read, highly recommend, thanks for the giggles..' 'Very good read from start to finish with some very comical and funny stories..' 'This had me chuckling to myself and out loud from the very first page! Have read it numerous times and always laugh!' 'A true to life and down to earth take on something most of us take for granted.' 'A very entertaining insight into the world of the taxi driver. Written with copious amounts of dry humour..' 'Lots of laughs..' 'A fun and sometimes shocking insight into what taxi drivers often have to put up with. My suggestion - be pleasant to your taxi driver, you never know if he'll put you into a book someday..' Why not see what all the fuss is about?
