Half Empty showcases a collection of very short stories from the dimmer side of life. These disturbing shorts challenge those who see the glass of life as half full. Half Empty exists in a world just slightly off kilter where the lives of innocent people unfold and bounce between frustrating absurdities to fates that seem cruelly predetermined. Charles Gillis lives in Texas, where he annoys his family with incessant mutterings about moving to the Nova Scotian coast. He is utter landlocked in the uninspiring mesa where he regularly mourns the fact that the closest donair is literally thousands of miles away. As a writer he has made tens of dollars through the application of his craft and pledges that the proceeds of this work will benefit his Maritime retirement dreams, or at the very least, pay for a few rounds of decent Canadian beer.
