2056, A fleet of seven leviathan space ships leave moon base and an almost dead Earth for the final time to search for a far off habitable planet. Pleiades, commonly known as the seven sisters is the target. After many years in deep space, one of the ships, Taygeta, locates a planet with an atmosphere and they decide to go and explore it. A group of intrepid explorers set off in search of civilisation and stumble on a strange phenomena and a Russian cosmonaut from Earth. Meanwhile the other ships make their way to Matariki, the newly named planet. The rest of crew begin the task of building towns and rural communities for the remaining 1000 members of the ship. Several characters emerge from the crew, namely Dave Freeman who together with Steph Margolin get themselves lost for several months in the forest! Later when they are re-united she finds herself pregnant. Many adventures take place over the next few years and they find an alien presence who is threatening their very existence. Dave and his friends manage to put an end to them, or do they! Will they save Matariki?
