Sometime around 1000BC, it is recorded that Moses built the first Ark of the Covenant. It is also believed that asecond Ark was built and kept in Solomon's Temple, also known as the First Temple, on Temple Mount (Mt. Zion) in Jerusalem. Solomon's Temple was destroyed after standing for over four-hundred years and the Ark became lost. Does anyone know where the Ark is today? Many have searched for it. An Ethiopian temple claims to have it, and keep it guarded round-the-clock. Maybe they do have it. But what is inside the ancient chest? The broken tablets containing the Ten Commandments? Ancient texts state that after forty days and nights Moses came down the mountatain carying the tablets with Joshua. He became angry with the way people were acting in his absense and he shattered the Ten Commandments into pieces.Moses is revered in Christianity, Judaism and Islam. Is Moses a deity on earth, and his Ark a symbol of wisdom, harmony, peace and enlightenment? Are the Ten Commandments the steps required for one to achieve these states of mind? Might the Ark have originally been intended as a holy artifact that symbolizes the goal of humanity, and is a symbol of higher learning or new religion? The . . . .
