After the second world-war a lot of young people from Holland emigrated to Australia. When they could afford it, they came back on a vacation to visit their relatives, but the other way around was more exceptional. This is a humorous report of such a Dutchman visiting his relatives in Australia for the first time, astonished of the exuberant nature he meets. At the end of the book he defines some remarkable differences between Europe and Australia. The work is decorated by beautiful pictures of aboriginal inspired art made by the author.
