“Delightfully Incapable” is a story centred on an impressionable young man, Kevin, as he navigates the challenges of his adolescence in the 1960s. Born into a caring, supportive family, he has been given a good start in life and the expectation is that his future should be successful, straightforward and uncomplicated. But growing up on Merseyside often ends up being unwittingly complex. Grappling with his obsession for football, establishing a credible identity with people of his own age and equipping himself for adult life, Kevin experiences a series of incidents which leave his values in life being seriously questioned. Life isn’t a bed of roses but it is different and occasionally amusing, with quite a number of twists along the way, as he finds out things about his family and friends he wasn’t always expecting.
