CAKE WAR DAYIt was finally the day of the Cake War. Animals from all over the forest came rushing to the squirrel’s candy shop. Birds, turtles, mice, and foxes from all over the land made their way to the competition, hoping to win the grand prize. It was not uncommon to see dogs pairing up with cats, birds with foxes, and turtles with mice. COUNTRYTOWNOnce upon a time there was a town. Except that it was too little to be a town. So many people who lived there would say that they lived in the country. Except that the land was far too big to be considered the country. The people who lived there often argued about where it was that they in fact lived – was it in the country or was it in a town?THE LITTLE ROCK NAMED ROCKYRocky rolled back home. He thought about what the big rock had told him. That night Rocky had a dream. He dreamt of a wise, old mountain that could answer all questions. In the morning he decided to visit the wise, old mountain and ask it a questionRINGO THE SNOWMANFor Ringo the nights went by slowly, and he got sadder and sadder. He was so lonely! But one night, he was paid a visit by some of Santa’s fairies. These fairies were special winter fairies that lived in the North Pole with Santa. Their job was to help Santa make toys and also to keep an eye on the children all over the world. They were the ones who told Santa at Christmas which little boys and girls were good and which ones were bad.THE FRIENDLY CLUMSY GIANTSuddenly he sneezed. He sneezed so hard that all the rooftops of all the houses blew off instantly. He sneezed so hard that his feet lifted up and crashed down onto the pavement, cracking it to bits. The friendly clumsy giant got up and, trying to keep his balance, stumbled upon several houses and knocked them to the ground. It was the most damage the friendly clumsy giant had ever caused. The townsfolk were very cross with him, and set about fixing everything he had destroyed. It took them one whole week! Even after they had finished repairing the town, the townsfolk were still angry with the giant. They told him never to come down to their little town again. They told him they didn’t want to play with him anymore. The friendly clumsy giant pleaded with them, promising never to sneeze that hard again. But it was no use. The townsfolk had made up their minds. The friendly clumsy giant was banned from the city forever. So, he sadly turned around and made his way up the hill to his hut, never to return to the little town by the sea again.
