Reviews:"A must read! This ethnic, multicultural women's saga goes beyond the cultural/racial divide in forging lifelong friends, family and loves. At times graphic in imagery, it is also edifying. It presents an olive branch of hope in noting: Like the cold slap of a wet fist across the face of the American cultural mythocracy, 'Cheryl Harris Alias Sydnie Feldstein' illuminates the possibility of an America gone sane. The story is transformative and ennobling; it highlights a colorblind path to the love and bonding that can come from the gifts of unconditional giving.""I wish I had listened when you told me that once I start reading the book, I would not be able to put it down. I am in deep trouble and hope this little deviation will be enough to keep me away until I finish my project, due in about 4 hours. OMG! Everything you told me about this book is true....not that I didn't believe you. I must go, the sooner I finish my project, the sooner I can get back to see what Sydnie Feldstein (I like that name) is up to. Thank you for introducing me to this brilliant work of art.""Hi David.. I just finished your book.. I loved the story... I was in tears numerous times.... thank you for sharing this heart rendering story with me!!""For anyone that wanted to read a feel good novel, this is the one. You would be taken on a trip that evokes childhood memories and would wonder if this is a documentary or an autobiography of a woman that is a combination of Angela Davis, Joyce Brothers, and Whoopie Goldberg and your favorite aunt! One would automatically think that an African-American woman wrote this book and would be astonished to find out that it was written by a very insightful, unassuming Jewish fellow, and MY friend. How he came up with the premise and story is beyond me. In the story he takes you on a journey reminiscent of "American Grafitti," and "Good Times". The way Dr. Loucas takes you back through the right songs, at the right times is very relaxing and thought provoking. I was reliving my childhood through Cheryl, and I am a man. So, kudos to the author, David M. Loucas, for a great read. I highly recommend this book to Oprah, Ellen, the ladies of The View, and anyone who enjoys great reads. A must read!"
