Ham, Pat and Gianni, our heroes from previous adventures, head for the home of Ham's parents in the Keys, for some R&R. On a side trip to Ft. Jefferson, Gianni finds a map indicating approximate underwater location of famous Spanish Galleon. They decide to split up: Ham & Pat go to Sevilla to look up the manifest; Gianni goes to Jamaica to assemble the needed equipment. Meantime, Ham's parents befriend a neighbor who is a con artist and learns about their son's quest...After minor setback Ham and Pat get copy of manifest, fly to Jamaica from Spain. The Order, an old enemy from previous times, already knows of their discovery and intentions. Its Jamaican agent is to spy from a distance and, if the team is successful, remove a certain item and kill the group. The team is successful in locating and retrieving part of the treasure. The agent fails in his attempt. On their return from the site, they learn that Ham's parents are being kidnapped by the con artist and will be released after an exchange is arranged. The group intercept the kidnapper before he reaches his intended destination, rescues the parents and has a daring escape via plane from Belize...Ham decides that it is time to try to negotiate with the Order. They go to Paris and after some close calls they finally agree to return the item in exchange of complete safety for all members and relatives. Capt. Bill, who helped them find the treasure and agreed to hide it at his place on an island in Texas, advises them that they were robbed. Probably, the scam artist. Back they fly to Texas and with Ham's fathers' help, through a friend, can trace the kidnapper movements from the use of a stolen credit card. They follow him to Mexico. They keep getting updates of his movements. He is heading to Acapulco, via Mexico City, where he hopes to convert the stolen treasure into cash. They are so close...Will they get to him before he gets lost in the Mexican bureaucracy? Once again humor is interspersed with drama, in this action-packed new adventure. Next: South Pacific.
