Boarding House Reach By James L. Weaver ©2015 This story follows Lorri Kelly, a Museum Archivist, and resident of Elizabeth House, an all-female residence. Lorri accidentally overhears a fragmented conversation between two Homeland Security agents; about a planned domestic terrorist act, and immediately becomes frightened, concerned, and certainly curious. Turning her painstakingly-collected evidence of photos and taped conversations over to the SFPD, two assigned detectives, (one of which becomes her lover), soon locate and apprehend the chief suspect; only to be told that they are to "stand down", release the perpetrator, and are given new assignments, much to their disgust and frustration. Crushed in defeat, but still determined, Lorri turns to two investigative journalists, who's Editor sees a major news scoop, if Lorri is right, and supports the two reporters as they follow up on her various leads and tips. Working as a team, the reporters and Lori uncover clues, as the San Francisco Chronicle prints a series of ongoing articles, culminating with a murder conviction, resignations, and re-assignments for corrupted political appointmentees, who orchestrated the plan, by manipulating the Department Of Homeland Security, from Washington, to Sacramento, to San Francisco, to Ft. Mason, where the story begins.
