Voting is an American privilege, but it is a privilege that can only be exercised wisely if we first prepare ourselves. That means becoming informed and understanding the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, the Rule of Law by which we govern ourselves. These essays are written from a Christian perspective, but their challenge should stimulate the thinking of all Americans as they prepare to vote. The next two elections will be critical. As a people, we will choose to reaffirm our Rule of Law or abandon it. Read these essays and ask yourself, "Do I want my children and grandchildren to have the opportunity for life in America as I have had?" Perhaps you will conclude to vote in favor of disposing of a government "of the people by the people and for the people," in favor of a government of the people by whomever has power. These essays are intended to prepare you to make an informed decision, whichever way you vote.
