But the Lady will not be denied and they are married in Glasgow by Bishop Wishart. Wallace is hounded by the English, culminating in Sheriff Hazelrigg slicing the unborn child from Marion's belly before plunging his sword through her heart. An enraged Wallace reaps his own revenge by killing the sherrif and his adult son, but Wallace is greatly changed by the affair.David comes to the aid of the English King a third time and is knighted and given possession of Kelk Castle and the surrounding lands; but the castle does have some serious and mysterious issues.English Edward destroys and totally annihilates the city of Berwick and its somewhate ten thousand citizens in three days of intense blood-filled slaughter, until halted by the hand of a five-year-old female child.
