Originally published in CRUX, a journal of Christian thought and opinion from Regent College, this volume is dedicated to James M. Houston for the celebration of his 90th birthday and in the honour for his long years of service. Jim Houston, born in Scotland, is a Christian educator, a public intellectual, a Christian statesman, and a spiritual director. In 1970's Jim Houston moved from Oxford, UK to Vancouver, Canada and became a founding principal of Regent College, an international graduate school with a vision of theological education for the laity. Jim Houston then served as Chancellor and Professor of Spiritual Theology at Regent College and published numerous publications including Mentored Life, I Believe in Creator, In Search of Happiness, The Heart's Desire: A Guide to Personal Fulfilment, just to name a few.
