"Physics" (The best works of CJS Hayward) (English Edition) [Kindle-editie]

ABOUT THE BOOK: This is a VERY SHORT book. But it is a gem. Aristotle's "Physics," largely the physics used by Church Fathers, was not physics in today's sense of the term, meaning Newtonian physics, Einstein's relativity, quantum physics, and superstring theory. It was rather something that should have been understood as "a study of the NATURE of things," such as one would infer from its etymology in Greek. Φυσις, the root of our "physics", corresponds to how we would speak of human nature or divine nature, or the nature of almost anything else. This is a "physics" that looks with Orthodox sacred cosmology at the nature of the created world. Don't look for it to help you in your physics class, but you might find it very interesting. ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Christos Jonathan Seth Hayward wears many hats as a person: author, philosopher, theologian, artist, poet, wayfarer, philologist, inventor, web guru, teacher. Some have asked, "If a much lesser C.S. Lewis were Orthodox, what would he be like?" And the answer may well be, "C.J.S. Hayward." Hayward has lived in the U.S., Malaysia, England, and France, and holds master's degrees bridging math and computers (UIUC), and philosophy and theology (Cambridge).
