"My Journey to God", the Autobiography of Bobby Brown's sister Leolah (English Edition) [Kindle-editie]

I am out and about and I stopped at the Berkley Pub to have some drinks, and ran into Sugar. He looks me up and down and makes comments about how good I look. Then he asked me why I hadn't returned his calls? I suddenly realized I was supposed to see Sugar the other night when I ran into Skinner, but I didn't think anything of it. I figured Sugar wasn't claiming me, so I figured no love lost. We just see each other when we see each other. He had his life and I was considered single with my own. I mean it wasn't like I was his girl like that, I thought. He was a respectable pimp and wasn't getting any money from me anyway, so I felt he was hiding our relationship. I said, "Oh, I'm sorry baby, I ran into Skinner and had an ordeal with him, and almost lost my life Sugar!' He said what! "Almost lost your life huh?" Bam! Sugar back (pimp) slaps me hard! When I caught my balance, I grab the first glass on the bar and busted it to cut him! And everyone went to screaming, and running, and just moving out the way. I don't know if they were screaming for me or Sugar, but I gave it all I had and tried to cut him every which way I could, but he finally got a good grip on me with the help of another crazy pimp. They drug me out of there and brought me in an alley, Sugar beat me until my face and head was bloody swollen. I finally got away with blood coming out of my head. I'm running fast trying to get out of the alleyway to try to get some help. I kept looking back, but I couldn't see them anymore. I ran into a white man who was driving by, he immediately stopped his car to let me in. He said, hey you need some help! I said, "Yes please help me! This man is trying to kill me!" He said, "Jump in!" So I jump in the white man's car, with blood all over me and coming out even worst now. I'm feeling very dizzy like I'm about to pass out. I said, please take this next right, and take me to city hospital! He heads straight out driving real fast! When I realized we had passed the turn, I looked at him and said oh you can take your next right coming up. He yelled! Shut the f--- up and don't say another word! Then I looked and there was a gun between his legs! I didn't know what to do I could not run because the car was going too fast and I wanted to live. So I remained calm and started praying asking God to please save me from this maniac. I was so sorry I had left Mommy's house again. I kept praying saying if I ever make it out of this, I will never open a door to leave again.
