Monirama, by her native name, Monique Rama, was born in Madagascar as a French citizen through her grandfather acquiring French citizenship. Following her long journey first to France, and then to various countries in Africa and Asia, she came to join her American family under her married name, Monique Mitchell. She is using that name as the author of this Ebook, “Monirama with the United Nations, Guinea -Bissau and Mauritania”.Monirama, with the United Nations, Guinea-Bissau and Mauritania” is the sixth of a series of Ebooks which will soon be published successively on Amazon.com./Kindle. And they are all part of the main book, with the same publisher, by the same author, called “HOPE FOR A BETTER WORLD”. In fact, the series is built to trigger readers interest to the message of HOPE, that hope that we all need to have and will be of essence in “Monirama, with the United Nations, Guinea-Guinea and Mauritania.” This particular issue of the series will be the opportunity for Monirama to tell us about her long career with the United Nations, starting in Conakry, Guinea. And the above HOPE is the vision of the United Nations in developing countries, so that all populations in the world and especially there can have a “Better World” to live in, for themselves, their families and most of all, for future generations. The UN Agency she has been working working for is the UNDP (United Nations Development Program). As an overview, “UNDP partners with people at all levels of society to help build nations that can withstand crisis, and drive and sustain the kind of growth that improves the quality of life for everyone. On the ground in 177 countries and territories, we offer global perspective and local insight to help empower lives and build resilient nations”. As far as the above is concerned, Monirama is very proud to have been fully connected with such a UN Agency. Her memoir should not be seen as a thorough account of her work experience but rather as a flashback to that part of her life she wishes to share with you.
