Mike Russell and Anthony Douglas bounced through the seas toward Great Isaac Cay, Bahamas for some night fishing; an everyday occurrence for island dwellers that know the ocean better than they know each other. A sudden storm violently tossed the small boat end over end, left the two men clinging to a slippery fiberglass hull buoyed by its Styrofoam lining and then vanished as quickly as it appeared. Anthony and Mike are now confined to a drifting island in the most inhospitable place on our planet: the ocean’s open water. The storm took all of the provisions they carried and left them with only the will to live, the strength to overcome fear, and hope for rescue. Together they must survive dehydration, hallucinations, hypothermia and, most dangerous of all, utter helplessness. Read Drifting Hope then go overcome your own fear with perseverance, determination and above all HOPE.
