A loud, thumping sound shatters the deep sleep of dwellers in a small compound consisting of a dozen five-meter rooms occupying two floors. Immediate, lights can be seen in various quarters, but no one dares opening their doors. The thrashing sound continues giving the impression of people frolicking over the roof in an attempt to tear it off completely. Then, the cathedral bells begin ringing melodiously, as what always happens every five o’clock in the morning. Instantly, the noise stops and not a single step can be heard on the roof. After a few minutes of silence, the residents investigated the incident. Sanribu House is a compound renting out a dozen uniformly sized rooms to students, yuppies and small families in the heart of the city. Separated from its leased area is a detached single room where the female caretaker lives with her psychotic little brother. And on that very day, only the caretaker slept in the room.
